Washington Diary: McGuffies jump

Five-star defensive end R.J. Washington of Keller (Texas) Fossil Ridge has agreed to do a diary for Rivals.com about his experiences leading up to and following the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. The game will be played at 1 p.m. EST on Jan. 5 and broadcasted live on NBC. Players reported to San Antonio on Sunday, and they will begin practices on Monday. Washington will share his thoughts from San Antonio with Rivals.com each day.
SAN ANTONIO - Today during our skills challenge I did the sled push and then pretty much just talked smack to Terrelle Pryor; we had met during orientation and stuff. Everybody is pretty cool, everybody is joking around.

We get along pretty good with those guys it's kind of like the OU and UT player thing we joke around and then they'll be like 'East squad' or we'll say 'West squad'.
Man, though, they mean mug everybody. They are quiet. We'll be walking and they are just staring down everybody. I wouldn't meet any of them in a dark tunnel.
We just lay back and have fun; they just look at us like we're crazy. I'm like 'why you looking at me'?
Me and big Mike(Mike Adams), he is telling me he is going to push me over, I was like 'whatever Mike'. When he wasn't looking at me I went up and jumped on his back and tried to push him down.
When Sam McGuffie jumped over, it was on the fly, I was like 'Sam see if you can jump over me'. I thought I was going to get kicked in the face, he went right over me, didn't even touch me.
In our practice we're just going through run-through, didn't want us beating up on each other before the game. We needed this morning because two-a-days are tough and then you don't get to go to sleep.
