The Latest: Over the past month or so, Washington commit Connor Weddington has been pretty busy. Between traveling with his 7-on-7 team to major events as well as joining teammates on college visits, he's racked up quite a bit of miles on the road. But despite trips to Oregon, USC and Cal, Weddington said Washington fans have no need to worry about his commitment. Rivals.com caught up with Weddington to talk about his status with the Huskies and his plans to return to campus.
In His Words: It's going really good with Washington. My whole family loves it there and some schools are still coming after me and we'll see what happens but as of now I'm still committed. I've thought about taking official visits to other places, we'll see, I need to talk to my family. But Coach Peterson's philosophy is that he doesn't like people taking official visits to other schools. I'll have to talk to [Washington TE commit] Hunter Bryant because we want to do everything together. I'll be back on campus for the camp in July. I try to get up there as much as I can. I love the coaches at Washington, they're a good staff and we mesh well."
Rivals Reaction: It's clear Weddington is open to taking other visits, but between his love for the Huskies, his relationship with Bryant and Peterson's stance on visits, it's tough to see him ending up anywhere else.
