The state of Washington has one of their deepest crop of prospects in a few years. One player we're very high on is two-way standout Everette Thompson who is getting looks on both sides of the ball.
Thompson, 6-5, 240 pounds played tight end, linebacker and defensive end a year ago and projects at either tight end or defensive end in college.
As a junior, the athlete caught 15 balls for 280 yards and five touchdowns to go with 88 tackles and four sacks. He earned 1st team all-league honors at tight end and 1st team all-area on defense.
On the recruiting front, Thompson picked up early offers from Washington, Washington State and Oregon back in January and Minnesota is now the latest school to offer as well.
"I'm also hearing from Notre Dame, Florida, Michigan, Cal, USC and a few others," Thompson said. "I visited Notre Dame for their Junior Day earlier this month and really liked it there a lot.
"The tradition there was incredible and I liked coach Weis and the rest of the staff as well. They didn't offer me but did say I'm on their short list and will continue to recruit me the rest of the year.
"USC is the school I grew up rooting for and they're very high on my list. I also like Washington, Oregon, Notre Dame and UCLA. Right now, I'm just working out four days a week and getting ready for some of the upcoming summer camps.
"I'm going to the NIKE Camp at Stanford in May but I don't know about the rest of my camp plans."
