Ware favors certain group

LOS ANGELES - Marquis Ware did not participate Sunday in the 4th Quarter Sports Elite 7on7 Tournament but he was still a high priority since the Salesian athlete has picked up so many big offers recently.
Ohio State and South Carolina are two of the latest for Ware, a 6-foot-2, 210-pound four-star prospect who can play on either side of the ball.

"Those are nice," Ware said.
"I was really happy with those offers. I haven't really talked to Ohio State but I talked to South Carolina. They were asking about which position we'd want to play and we'd have to take a visit."
Ware is talking about himself and teammate Jamardre Cobb, a four-star linebacker who has also received those two offers.
For Ware, the recruiting process is just taking off and he's still waiting on a few offers but there is a group of teams that has emerged as favorites.
The four-star said UCLA, USC, Washington, South Carolina and Oregon look good in his recruitment at this point but it's still early.
Out of that group only UCLA and South Carolina have offered so Ware plans to be patient with his decision-making process.
"USC is showing interest in me," Ware said. "I know they want me and Jamardre and we might be close to getting an offer. Washington is showing a lot of interest, too, but I haven't heard too much about them.
"USC said I'm a good player and they'd like to have me there and that I could play a few positions. The coaches aren't really recruiting me hard yet though."
In total, Ware has offers from Arizona, Boise State, Colorado, Memphis, Ohio State, Oregon State, South Carolina, SMU, Stanford, Texas A&M, UCLA, Vanderbilt and Washington State.
