Ward takes an official to Buffalo

Offensive tackle Justin Ward out of Reidsville (N.C.) Rockingham County took an official visit over the weekend to Buffalo. The 6-foot-5, 280-pounder was in attendance for their game against Baylor.
"It was an amazing trip," he stated. "I first got there, checked into my hotel and then from there we ate lunch and I checked out the football facilities. I got to talk to some of the coaches including the offensive line coach and that night I went to the Baylor game.

"Afterwards, I was hosted by Jeff Neidermier. We went to his house and watched some other college games and then on Sunday I woke up and toured the campus and met with the coaches including head coach Gill. Right before we left, I took a trip over to Niagara Falls and it was my first chance to see that."
The game was an important factor of the visit, what did Ward think of it?
"They were facing Baylor and the crowd support was there. They were very well represented," he said. "It was nice to see the Bulls in action. They are a disciplined group, but didn't come out on top. They had their chances and overall it was an amazing game to watch and see how they are building.
"I did watch the offensive line and they work well together. They do a lot of running plays and the offense looks like it's pretty easy to pick up."
Meanwhile, how was the visit with coach Gill?
"He is an amazing individual," he stated. "He's a very influential person and a great man along with his entire staff."
With one trip behind him, what's next for the two-star prospect?
"I'm not really sure," he said. "I'll probably take some unofficials to schools and then maybe more officials in December. Right now I may go to East Carolina, North Carolina and Wake Forest in the coming weeks."
