Ward stays patient with recruiting

Katy (Texas) Mayde Creek defensive tackle Jowyn Ward says things have been quiet lately in terms of recruiting.
After picking up his first offer from Army in May, the 6-foot-2, 235-pounder has kept in touch with schools such as Missouri and Rice. Though his second offer has yet to arrive, Ward is staying patient and leaving his options open.

"It's slowed down since the summer started," Ward said. "Army is still the only offer so far. I've talked with Missouri and they were real interested in me, but no offer has come yet. They want to see my ACT scores and Rice has said the same thing."
Ward says this summer he attended a few camps at Rice and TCU. The talented defensive lineman says that he'll most likely not be making any more camps before the fall begins.
"I don't have really anything planned yet," Ward said. "I'm probably going to wait a while (to make a decision). It will probably be sometime around the middle of the season."
