Walsh names Pac-12 favorite

Shannon Walsh has picked up some serious offers in the last few weeks but it's one Pac-12 program that still stands out the most to him.
After visiting Arizona for its spring game recently, the Murrieta (Calif.) Vista Murrieta three-star linebacker said the Wildcats stand out the most in his recruitment. Utah, Arizona State and Nebraska are the three latest offers for him.
"The one school that's standing out to me is U of A," Walsh said. 'I went to their spring game and they need some help at the linebacker spot. That's what I saw.
"I love the new facilities. They're really nice. The coaches are good. I can really bond with them. They remind me of the coaches I have at my high school."
So far, the 5-foot-10, 210-pound prospect lists offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Boise State, Nebraska, Utah and Washington.
Walsh said when he was at the Arizona spring game he felt he would have the chance to play early in Tucson and so that's one reason why that program stands out the most. The three-star sees a chance to get early playing time at inside linebacker.
"I see myself coming in early as a freshman and possibly starting probably as a middle linebacker," Walsh said.
Arizona looks the best in his recruitment at this point but the Vista Murrieta linebacker said he still wants to wait a while before making his commitment.
USC is showing more interest and others are getting involved so Walsh doesn't want to make a pledge this early.
"I'm still waiting to see," Walsh said. "I have to make sure I pick the right choice for me."
