Walsh likes Washington early on

MORE: Lawal lands first two offers
Shannon Walsh still has one offer from Boise State, but now that coach Chris Petersen and some assistants have gone to Washington, the 2015 linebacker likes the Huskies a lot.

"I'm kind of really feeling Washington right now," Walsh said. "It just seems like I'd fit really well there, but I need to meet all the coaches and stuff now."
The 5-foot-11, 215-pound inside linebacker from Murrieta (Calif.) Vista Murrieta said not much has happened in his recruitment since his team lost to Corona (Calif.) Centennial in the playoffs a few weeks ago.
Boise State is still the lone offer for Walsh, who said he really wants to meet with the new Broncos' coaching staff since he doesn't know much about them at this point.
"It would be nice to meet them because I never really heard of them, so I don't know too much about them right now," Walsh said.
Walsh still sits with one offer, but much more interest is coming in.
The Vista Murrieta standout said Washington, Washington State, California, Duke and Yale have reached out and are getting much more involved. Since Washington is high on Walsh's list, he said an offer from the Huskies would definitely be big.
It has been relatively slow recently but Walsh hopes things pick up even more soon.
"It's been going really well," Walsh said. "I've heard from a lot of schools."
