Walls nets big ACC offer

Blake Walls heard an offer from Florida State might be coming but a lot of college coaches stopped by Gardena (Calif.) Serra this off-season so the 2016 linebacker wasn't sure.
When the official word came, that the Seminoles were going to offer Walls, the 6-foot-1, 205-pound prospect was thrilled and is taking a close, early look at Florida State.

"I was kind of surprised," Walls said.
"I had already talked to them and they said they were going to come back during the season and offer me or at least remember my name. I got a call after practice and I heard about the offer. I was pretty excited. It was pretty big."
It is way early but the Gardena Serra standout said he's already taken a look at what Florida State has to offer and he likes everything he's seen so far.
"I was looking at their videos and stuff on YouTube," Walls said. "My coach told me to look into their stuff. I'm really interested in them.
"A lot of colleges came by the school for the passing leagues. I've heard a lot of schools are recruiting me and I could be getting some more offers."
Michigan, Tennessee and Northwestern are three other programs showing early interest in Walls, one of many top prospects at powerhouse Serra, arguably the top team in the state.
Another top 2016 prospect at Serra, which recently produced Robert Woods, Marqise Lee and George Farmer among others, is wide receiver Brandon Burton, who already has offers from Florida, Florida State, UCLA, USC and Utah.
