Waller QB likes Rice

Waller, Texas, two-star dual-threat quarterback Jeremy Phillips has had a successful spring and summer. He already had scholarship offers on the table from Duke, Army and Rice, but now he just recently added an offer from North Texas. He also hopes a Big 12 offer could materialize, too.
"Right now I've just been talking to and the teams that have offered me – Duke, Army, Rice and North Texas," he said. "I went to the Baylor camp and the one at SMU. I feel like I did alright. If Baylor offers they'll move to the top of my list pretty quick.""

But that top spot now is reserved for a local school.
"Right now, it's Rice," he said. "But it depends on if Baylor offers. If they offer I might go there. But they haven't offered me yet. I really like the coaches and the coaching at Rice. The coaches you can get along with, and I really liked the campus when I went."
Phillips isn't sure now when he'll make his decision.
"I was going to say I wanted to make a decision before the season started, but now I don't know that I want to make one that quick," he said.
Phillips has big goals for his senior season.
"We're looking pretty good," he said. "We've got a chance to be really good. We've got a lot of people back and a lot of people that work hard."
