Walker will know more next week

Clayton Walker, who recently won the Frank Kush Award which is given to the state of Arizona’s top lineman each year, is inching closer to making his college decision.
Walker visited UCLA this weekend and has Washington set for an official visit next week.

“Washington and UCLA are my two front-runners,” Walker said. “They’re definitely my top teams right now.”
Walker had previously said UW was out in front by themselves, so the Bruins obviously did a good job of recruiting this weekend.
“The players were real cool,” Walker said of UCLA. “They gave me some advice about recruiting – to take all my trips. We went to the Rose Bowl and stuff like that. We really just kind of hung out.”
Even though they left an impression, UCLA may have its work cut out for itself.
“I guess I’ve just liked Washington longer, but we’ll see after my visit next weekend. Then I’ll be able to compare both schools and see which one I think fits me best.”
Walker, who is 6-foot-4, 270 pounds, also has visits scheduled for January to Arizona, Oregon State and Arizona State. But he says he is unlikely to make those visits.
“I’ll probably have a decision after my visit next week,” he said.
