Walker springing into his recruitment

Jacksonville (Fla.) Sandalwood four-star defensive end Demarcus Walker was planning to decide in May when the spring season began. Those plans changed though, as the interest he received during the spring combined with conversations he had with numerous coaches made him decide to slow things down.
"When teams came in during the spring and stuff, and I talked to them, they were just talking good," Walker said of the reason why he decided to slow the process down.

Walker has since named a top eight, in no order, of Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, LSU, Tennessee, and USC. He said a few schools have made a move over the past month.
"I am really feeling good about Florida, feeling good about Clemson, and feeling good about Alabama - I talk to those guys a lot," Walker said. "Auburn might sneak in there too."
Those four aforementioned schools, along with LSU, are the top five schools likely in the running for his services at this time.
Next up for Walker is hitting the road and taking some visits. He has a few summer visits planned.
"Tennessee, Florida State, Florida, USC, Alabama, Auburn, and Clemson," Walker said.
The 6-foot-4, 276-pound Rivals250 prospect said a visit to North Carolina is also a possibility, as the Tar Heels have made a recent move with him.
Walker is hoping he will be ready to make his final decision after those summer trips.
"I am hoping in August," Walker said. "If I am not comfortable, then I will back it up a little more."
In addition to playing defensive end for Sandalwood, Walker also displays his athleticism by also working at tight end.
