Walker reflects on VT visit

After a trip to Blacksburg, another visit is in the books for Ricky Walker. The defensive tackle from Hampton (Va.) Bethel has offers from Virginia Tech, North Carolina, Penn State, N.C. State, Boston College and Old Dominion.
"My Virginia Tech visit was really nice, cold though," laughed the 6-foot-2, 270-pound Walker. "It was an early game so I had to get up early and I talked to some of the coaches and they said they watched my film and think I'd fit right in their defensive scheme."

"I talked to Coach Newsome, my recruiter, Coach Wiles, the defensive line coach, and Coach Brown, the offensive line coach. They all talked to me and said the same things. About how I should feel comfortable, the defense of Bud Foster, the history and how I could see myself being a Hokie and being part of the team. After the game I went to the locker room and talked to (my former teammate) James Gayle."
N.C. State and Maryland have hosted Walker so how does this visit compare to the others?
"The visit was nice and Virginia Tech is up there right now. I'm still open and I'm not committing anytime soon but the visit was really nice."
Walker shared his reaction to hearing about Coach Tom O'Brien's firing at N.C. State
"That's a tough one for the Wolfpack but I'm pretty sure they'll bounce back. It's a good school and they'll come around. Coach O'Brien is a pretty good coach and I liked Coach Willis when I met him."
Walker does not have any more visits planned right now.
