Walker ready to be on the go

Pflugerville, Texas athlete Todd Walker is preparing for a busy weekend.

“Todd is at work right now and he has the 7-on-7 tournament that he has to go early on Friday for,” Walker’s father Jim said. “After that is over on Saturday night and he’s getting on a plane and going to visit Colorado to see what they have to offer him.”

The trip to Colorado won’t be the first trip this month.

“Todd went to Texas Tech last weekend. He came back real positive about it and everything he saw. He was saying a lot of good things about the school and the coaches.”

The 7-on-7 tournament will keep the 6-foot-2, 185-pound Walker on the go over the next two days.

“He’s pretty excited about the 7-on-7 this weekend. That will take most of his Friday and Saturday, but it will be a lot of fun for him to play in and compete in. There will be a lot of talent there.”

On the recruiting trail, Walker continues to remain undecided.

“He really is undecided,” the elder Walker said. “The more places he goes and sees the easier it will be to make a decision later. At least that is what we were thinking. The more offers you get, the tougher it gets. All of the schools are very good schools and have a lot to offer. I think if there was only one school that had offered, this whole thing would be pretty easy, but it is very nice to have the options he does.”
