Walker makes UNT commitment

Colleyville (Texas) Heritage Evan Walker took an official visit to North Texas this past weekend, where one of his high school teammates was committed, and made a decision of his own.
Walker, a 5-foot-10, 180-pounder, made a commitment to the Mean Green after seeing everything he needed to see at the campus. Having legendary high school coach Todd Dodge now leading UNT certainly helped Walker decide.

"It's close to home but with coach Dodge there now, it just fit," Walker said. "Plus, Breece Johnson, who I played football with for the past four years had committed there too. All those factors played a part in my decision."
Walker didn't have any other scholarship offers, but says that UNT was such a perfect fit it wouldn't have mattered. He's not looking at any other options at this time.
His future receivers coach and recruiter Clayton George was just one of many coaches at UNT that Walker liked.
"All of the coaches were really nice," Walker said. "They were straight forward and honest. I'm looking forward to working with all of them."
