Walker excited about first offer

Jack Walker has already landed his first offer from Miami and the 2017 quarterback from Madison (Miss.) Madison Central said he likes the Hurricanes a lot especially because of his early relationship with offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach James Coley.
"Coach Coley and I have been talking," Walker said at the Rivals Quarterback Challenge in Dallas. "My head coach called me and told me to call him. They were studying my film for about a few months and coach Coley said they wanted to offer me and they really like me.

"He's an awesome guy and he's an awesome coach. He definitely knows what he's doing with quarterbacks. He recruited Jameis Winston out at Florida State and he's coaching Brad Kaaya, who will probably be a first-round draft pick so he knows what he's doing with quarterbacks."
Miami was the first school to offer Walker, one of the top quarterbacks at the Rivals QB Challenge last weekend, and two SEC schools could be close to getting more involved as well.
Walker has already visited Alabama and Tennessee and he thinks more offers could be coming.
"I was at Alabama on Wednesday and Tennessee I've been up there once," Walker said. "I've been talking to their coaches a lot.
"Coach (Nick) Saban, Coach (Lane) Kiffin and I had a meeting and they really like me and like how I'm doing. They want me to come up for a camp and hopefully that's when they'll offer.
"I really like (Tennessee). Coach (Robert) Gillespie is the recruiting guy down here and he's an awesome guy. I just like what they're doing down there."
Walker said he is also receiving early interest from Mississippi State, Florida State, Georgia, Clemson and Louisiana Tech, where he visited on his way to Dallas for the Rivals event.
