Walker will visit Tennessee next weekend. He has previously been to Ole Miss and Louisville. The 6-foot-3, 308-pounder liked the facilities at Memphis.
"They are nice and they are doing a lot with them right now," he said.
He got the chance to sit down and talk with Tigers head coach Tommy West during the visit.
"He told me that Memphis was looking for a guy like me," Walker said. "He was a real straight shooter and said I would have a good career at Memphis."
Eric Evans and Deangelo Williams served as Walker's player hosts during his trip. Evans is from Lepanto, Ark.
"I met him last year and I already knew him," Walker said of Evans. "Evans is from Arkansas. And I love Deangelo Williams. It's great to see a guy like that in the NFL."
