Walcott claims second offer, plans visits

Hackensack, N.J. safety Ausar Walcott is planning to take a handful of visits in the next month. The 6-foot-3, 205-pounder broke down to Rivals where he intends to go and what he wants to see on the visits.
"I'm planning to take spring games to Virginia, Connecticut, maybe Maryland and I'm trying to see about a couple other schools," he said. "I want to go and see how the teams practice and meet some of the players to see how they are.

"From the coaches, I want to talk to them and find out more about the program, but I really want to talk to the players the most."
It was already known Walcott held one offer from Wisconsin. He now claims a second from Virginia.
"I actually got it when I went down to their junior day last month," he stated. "I really like them a lot. I like the school and coaches, plus my friend from Hackensack, Jermaine Dias goes there. It's nice to know I can always talk to him about the coaches and stuff."
Meanwhile, the Garden State prospect believes a few more schools may offer soon.
"Maryland and Rutgers seem close to offering. I'm also getting a lot of mail from Connecticut, Louisville and Michigan State."
At this time, Walcott claims there are no leaders.
Last season he hauled in 15 receptions for three touchdowns and added three interceptions on defense on his way to all-county honors.
