Wake holds slight edge for WR

Wake Forest is suddenly one of the top contenders for one of North Carolina's best players, but others are lurking.
Chris Jefferson of Morganton (N.C.) Freedom took an unexpected visit to Wake and was very impressed with everything about his trip.
"It was really great," said Chris. "I loved the campus and the atmosphere. The coaches and players are cool and they have everything I'm looking for in a school."
Chris was thinking of making an official visit to Colorado, but decided that he didn’t want to go that far from home.
Besides Wake Forest, he has already visited Vanderbilt and Duke and will take a trip to Clemson (Jan. 10) and Boston College (Jan. 17). For the moment it looks like his official visit to Virginia will be cancelled.
"I'm going to BC and Clemson and then I'll make my decision. Right now I'm favoring Wake Forest and Vanderbilt because of the great academics and both need receivers, Wake is really on the rise and I like that."
What about Boston College and Clemson?
"I think BC is a top-notch program that can compete for the Big East championship and they also have great academics, distance is my only concern there. As far as Clemson goes, they need wideouts and I really like the coaches there, plus they were the first school to offer me so I feel I should give them a chance."
Last season Chris had 40 catches for 750 yards and nine touchdowns. He will make his decision soon after his visit to Boston College.
