IN HIS OWN WORDS: "Wake Forest was first to offer me, then Syracuse did," said Chaney. "Both came through in the spring and that is when they offered me. It was a pretty big time for me when I got my first offers and I was excited about them."

ON WAKE FOREST: "I visited Wake Forest in the summer and I liked it up there. I had a great time and I really liked the community. I liked being around the players and the coaches up there.

"I got a lot of love from the coaches and I liked how easy it was to get around the campus. They are a school I am really looking at."

CHILDHOOD FAVORITE: "I have always been a big fan of LSU. I like how they produce top defensive linemen and I have liked them for a long time. My cousin was watching them when I was younger, so I started watching them, and that is how it all started."

RIVALS REACTION: Chaney is a long defensive end who will add more offers this fall and into next spring. He has great length, he has good upside and you will start hearing his name more and more. Wake Forest offering first is big, and he has a teammate, Jacorey Johns, who is giving them a long look too.
