Waiting on a few more

Another four-star defensive end prospect from the state of Florida is David Gilbert. Gilbert, 6-4 and 217 pounds, is from Oakland Park (Fla.) Northeast High School. Last season as a junior Gilbert recorded 67 tackles, nine sacks, eight tackles for loss, and blocked two field goals in only seven games.
"I am a good pass rusher and I believe I can take on the run just as well," Gilbert said. "I have pretty good technique. I think my pass rushing just comes natural to me. I think I surprise some of the bigger offensive linemen because I take on blockers well.

"I am having a good summer so far. I have been running and lifting. I am working on things as well like getting quicker off the ball and my pad level."
According to Gilbert he has scholarship offers from Pitt, Florida International, Minnesota, Purdue, Iowa State, Vanderbilt, Louisville, UConn, UCF, Kansas State, Wisconsin, South Carolina, Marshall, Indiana, Arkansas State, Florida Atlantic, and Michigan State.
"Right now I am pretty open and have no favorite. I would love to get an offer from West Virginia and USC and visit both of those schools in the fall. I think West Virginia is close to offering me.
"I know I will take two visits during the season and three after. I plan on taking one during my bye week and one the week before. The rest will be later after the season. I am looking at tradition, academics (physical therapy) and how early I can play."
