Waiting for offers

Cherry Hill (N.J.) Camden Catholic had a great regular season and earned a bye in the first round of the playoffs last week.

This week Camden Catholic has their first playoff game, a second round matchup, and they're feeling confident.
One big reason for their confidence is Alwan. The 6-foot-2, 230-pound prospect lines up at linebacker and running back for the team. This season he has rushed for 12 touchdowns on offense. Defensively he has about 80 tackles and two scores on that side of the ball as well.
While Alwan has produced as a running back this week he said schools are recruiting him exclusively as a linebacker. While there had been some reports that he might have an offer from Rutgers, Alwan said it's not so simple.
"I can't say I do have an offer from them right now," he said.
That doesn't mean the Knights aren't interested. They are, in fact.
"There's a few schools showing interest," he said. "Rutgers, Oregon, Clemson and Alabama.
"I went to a Rutgers game a few weeks ago but that's been about it so far. I'm really just trying to focus on my season for now. I did think the game was nice. Everybody was nice and it was a nice atmosphere."
Will location be something that works in Rutgers' favor if they do decide to offer?
"That doesn't really matter. It's just where I fit best at," he said.
Alwan said he doesn't have any favorites at this stage in the process.
