Waiting and hoping

Elinard Alexandre is a cornerback prospect from Hialeah (Fla.) High School. Alexandre, 5-8 and 168 pounds, is drawing interest from several schools but doesn't have any scholarship offers just yet.
"I am getting letters from Syracuse, Boston College, Purdue, Ball State, and UConn. "I am trying to get my tape out there."

This past season Alexandre recorded 35 tackles, an interception, forced three fumbles and had three pass deflections.
"In our defense I just get locked up on an island with the receiver. I am a good tackler. I am not scared out there and I can be a physical player. We play a ton of man to man. I just need to work on te little things and become a better student of the game."
Right now Alexandre would like to play for one school but he knows that won't happen so he prefers one conference over everyone else.
"Man I love Southern Cal. I am a huge Pete Carroll fan. But I know that will not happen. I really would like to play in the Big East. I like South Florida, West Virginia, and Pitt. I also like teams like Kansas State, Minnesota and Nebraska. I just hope it's not too late."
