Junior Rivals100 defensive Myles Wade out of Portland (Ore.) Benson Tech took a junior day to South Bend last weekend. The 6-foot-2, 290-pounder was one of players who traveled the furthest to make the visit. What did he think about Notre Dame?
"My visit there went great," he said. "I liked the campus and facilities, the football facilities are really good. I mainly wanted to take the trip to see everything else besides football.
"I got there and took a tour of the athletic facilities and then I met with all the coaches. That night we went to the Notre Dame/Providence basketball game which was a lot of fun."

On his visit, Wade was able to meet Charlie Weis.
"I had a little discussion with him about football and school," he said. "He's a really cool guy and the thing I liked about him was that he doesn't accept losing. He said 9-3 is not good enough, he wants championships to come the rest of the time he's there."
The defensive tackle prospect rated his visit a perfect 10.
"This visit was definitely a 10, but I'm keeping my options open for now," he said. "I never really grew up a fan of any one team and honestly I don't have any favorite schools. I'm just looking for a good education and a place to play football."
Wade plans to take two more junior days in February to UCLA and Oregon State. The lineman is also considering combines at Stanford and Fort Worth.
Last season Wade recorded 40 tackles, eight sacks and two fumble recoveries as he was named first team all-PIL and all-state.
