Wade recaps OSU visit

One of the top underclassmen at Ohio State's Friday Night Lights camp was defensive back Lamont Wade. The 2017 prospect out of Clairton (Pa.) has been gaining momentum on the recruiting trail and it seems like Ohio State could be a player for him.
"I just in Ohio last week for a 7-on-7 at Akron then a couple of us went to Ohio State for their Friday Night Lights camp," said the 5-foot-9, 182-pound Wade. "It was really nice up there. I think they got a new locker room and they're adding seats to the stadium. There were some fans that came to the camp also.

"The competition was pretty good," he said. "There were a couple guys that stood out but it was good for the most part.
"I talked with coach Coombs," Wade said. "I saw how the coaches coached and how they went about things."
When asked if there was another school Wade talks to a lot he mentioned one of the instate schools.
"I've been talking to Penn State a lot lately," he said. "They're really interested in me. My team went up there and won a 7-on-7 tournament. Coach Franklin and coach Smith are really cool guys. Coach Smith always keeps it real with me. I have seen that they got Sterling Jenkins and Miles Sanders just committed there. I heard they just offered my friend Damar Hamlin."
Wade has two visits in mind and one of them could be this week.
"I'll probably be visiting West Virginia around July 30," said Wade. "I'm hoping to make it back up to Penn State around August 4."
Pittsburgh, West Virginia and Temple have already offered Wade.
