VTO Rock Hill: What to watch
This Sunday, the VTO Elite 100 Camp Series will make its next stop in the Palmetto State at York Comprehensive High School in York (S.C.). While the camp is being held in South Carolina, there will be prospects attending that hail from North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee and Kentucky as well.
This camp should be interesting and exciting because of the talent that will be attending, as there may be some diamonds in the rough emerging by the end of the event.
One of the top players expected to be on hand is class of 2016 OL Taleni Suhren of Ardrey Kell (N.C.) High. The 6-foot-5, 275-pound offensive tackle has an early interest from Charlotte, North Carolina, Clemson and South Carolina.
There are also two quarterbacks hoping to make some noise. Austin Bradley, a class of 2015 prospect from Orangeburg-Wilkinson (S.C.) High has some interest from Appalachian State, S.C. State and Troy. Another 2015 signal-caller looking to impress and gain his first offer Orange (N.C.) High Garrett Cloer. Cloer had an outstanding 2013 season, passing for more than 2,500 yards with 35 touchdowns.
The player who may be travelling the longest distance to compete is Bell County (Ky.) High's Nathan Murray. Murray, a 2016 offensive lineman, stands 6-foot-7, weighs 310 pounds and is known for his strength.
Anton "Bug" Coleman has a unique nickname, and this class of 2015 RB/LB from Matoaco High in Virginia hopes to show off his skills. He plans to move to Tucker High School in Georgia later on this summer.
Lake Marion (S.C.) class of 2016 LB Donta Evans will be a player that fans and analysts may need to keep an eye on. He had a great 2013 season with 98 tackles and seven sacks.
The VTO staff will name eight total MVPs from the camp in York, one at each position. Three players will get invited to a Rivals Camp Series Presented by Under Armour event, while one top underclassman will earn an invitation to the Rivals Underclassmen Challenge in Jacksonville (Fla.) this summer.
