VTO Columbia: What to watch
The VTO Sports Elite 100 series makes its next stop in the Midlands of South Carolina on Saturday. Beginning at 10 a.m. at Dutch Fork High School in Irmo, the camp will feature several prospects of interest to those that follow recruiting and high school football in the Palmetto State.

No position at the camp is more stocked with intriguing talent than wide receiver. Sumter's Ky'John Tyler is a S.C. High School Sports Report All-State selection who was a dangerous player last season for the Gamecocks at receiver and as a special teams returner.
Pendleton's Malik Grate is undersized but can run in the 4.5-4.6 second range, while Lexington (S.C.) sophomore Jayson Hopper and Wren's Bailey Rogers are also interesting players on film who could flash skills during the camp.
Georgia product Justin Gibbs is young, but the 2017 receiver is already firmly on the radar of some major programs. At 6-foot-2, 185-pounds, Gibbs had 15 catches for 233 yards and three touchdowns last season.
South Florence's Tabari Hines could be considered the headliner of the group from an offer perspective as Charlotte, Duke and Wake Forest have already stepped in with offers to the elusive 5-foot-10, 165-pounder.
Two in-state signal-callers with ties to the University of South Carolina will be working out on the field Saturday morning. Anderson (S.C.) T.L. Hanna's Jackson Williamson burst onto the scene as a freshman by throwing for almost 2,000 yards and 18 touchdowns with just four interceptions. His father, Blake Williamson, was a quarterback for the Gamecocks. USC's starter in the 2014 season, Dylan Thompson, graduated from Boiling Springs and his younger brother Daniel Thompson has plenty of smarts and arm despite a smaller frame than his older sibling.
Cornelius (N.C.) Hough's Williams Coleman transferred from Wando (S.C.) and has a good combination of size (6-feet-4, 191) and arm strength.
At running back, Lexington's Slade Carroll rushed 141 times for 634 yards last season, scored four touchdowns, and didn't put the ball on the ground once. Newberry's Quaheim Glasgow is an interesting prospect because he's 6-foot-2, 291-pounds and shows a big motor on film.
