VT a great option for Brown

One of the many recruits that were on hand for the Virginia Tech spring game was Sparta (N.J.) Pope John XXIII athlete Noah Brown. He has about 12 offers and has been taking a few visits lately. It seems like the Hokies made a good impression on Brown.
"It was great," said the 6-foot-2, 220-pound Brown. "It was a good experience. I got a good feel for the program and what they like to do on offense. The facilities were very impressive as was the crowd for a spring game.

"Well besides the game, I got to spend some time with some of the current players that night, see how things are off the field and how the players interact," he said. "I spent time with Joel Caleb and some other players. Then the next morning I had a sit down with Coach Beamer and Coach Cornell Brown and got to talk about how they see me fitting in with the program.
"I love the coaches," Brown said. "Coach Cornell Brown is a great guy. He's really personable and funny. He's always fun to talk to. I was also impressed with Coach Beamer. He seemed really involved in all his players' lives and has a genuine care for all of his players. I also got a chance to speak with Coach Moorehead who would be my position coach, he also seemed to a great guy."
Brown has plenty of choices and he has an idea of how he is going to decide.
"Well, right now I don't have any favorites," he said. "I plan to narrow my choices down before the season starts but Virginia Tech is definitely a great option. I was very impressed with all that I saw."
Clearly, the Hokies aren't the only school that is coming after Brown.
"I communicate with almost all of the schools that have offered me pretty often," said Brown. "Some new schools showing a good amount of interest are Indiana, Ohio State and Notre Dame. I've been in contact with Coach Alford. I'd say Rutgers, Virginia Tech, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Nebraska and Georgia Tech are recruiting me the hardest.
"Penn State was my most recent offer but I don't have any other visits planned to go there or anywhere else right now," he said. "I may go to the Rutgers spring game on Saturday but that's not set in stone."
Brown will be competing in the Rivals Camp Series Presented by Under Armour in New Jersey on April 27.
