Vols, Vandy among SEC options for 2018 WR

Class of 2018 Spring Hill, Tenn. wide receiver Justin Oden just finished his sophomore season, but he already boasts four SEC offers. This fall he spent the season combining with his older brother and Louisville quarterback commit Tylin Oden for big plays. When he wasn't on the field, Oden was trying to find time to make recruiting visits, which included stops at Tennessee and Vanderbilt. While he still has plenty of time to add more offers and explore other schools, he said he's been impressed with both of the in-state programs so far.
IN HIS WORDS: "I've had a chance to go to Vanderbilt to watch their game against Missouri and I went to Tennessee for the Oklahoma game," the 6-foot-3, 170-pound Oden said. "It was good to see Vanderbilt go out and beat an SEC team at home and I think they're getting things turned around.

"It was exciting being at the Tennessee game. The fan base was loud and they were really into the game. They are still an option for me for sure."

RIVALS' REACTION: Oden had a solid sophomore season and with his size it's easy to forget just how early he is in his development. After spending a lot of time on the basketball circuit last season and missing a lot of football events, Oden should benefit from a spring/summer of college camps and visits. Given his ability, once those visits happen even more offers should come his way. As mentioned, his older brother is committed to Louisville and if he ends up signing with the Cardinals, they could quickly become a school to watch in the younger Oden's recruitment.
