Three-star running back
Sean Dawkins has his first
official visit coming this weekend at Middle Tennessee and will head to Troy
State on Jan. 24, according to Parkview coach Cecil Flowe.
"He's got offers from both of them, and we're expecting a pretty big
offer could develop in the next few days," Flowe said. "Tennessee's been
showing a lot of interest in Sean lately. We think they're waiting to see
how some other things shake down, but they've told him to be patient and
keep one of his official visits open just in case.
"Somebody's going to be getting a heckuva player. He's one tough kid. He
was this team's go-to guy down the stretch the last two years, and that's
saying something because there's a lot of great players on this team."
Despite missing some action due to an ankle sprain, Dawkins (5-11, 205,
4.5) rushed for more than 900 yards and scored 15 touchdowns as a senior in
helping lead the Panthers to a 15-0 mark, extending their state-record
winning streak to 45 consecutive games. He had 1,135 yards and 15 touchdowns
as a junior.
