Vols beat Gators for Alabama athlete Dee Beckwith
Tennessee held the lead early, and after Ole Miss made a run at one time and Florida pushed hard late, Jeremy Pruitt and the Vols won out for Florence, Ala. athlete Dee Beckwith.
"I knew I was going to Tennessee after the last in home visit with coach Pruitt, said Beckwith. "It was definitely tough having to deal with different positions and distance to the schools, but I've built relationships with majority of the coaches and I have many different connections with people off campus as well at Tennessee.
"I have visited Knoxville five times and I’ve witnessed nothing but good vibes and good relationships between coaches and the players. I love the atmosphere of Neyland Stadium and the loyalty of the fans too."
Beckwith also has a few offers from smaller schools in basketball, so he hopes to play both sports at Tennessee. On the gridiron, he said the Vols plan to use him as an athlete they can move around offensively to create mismatches.
