Vitabile picks up new offer

Edison (N.J.) Bishop Ahr center Brandon Vitabile took a visit to a Big Ten school over the weekend and came away with his third offer.
The 6-foot-2, 293-pound prospect discussed the recent happenings on the recruiting trail, as well as how his newest offer might affect things.

"I was at Northwestern (Saturday) and they offered me," he said.
"I liked it a lot. The visit was good. It was good to see the school, and then to get the offer was big. It's a really nice school. A really good school, too. It's Big Ten football, which is also good. They had a pretty good year last year.
"I was with the coaches all day. I got there at 9 (a.m.) and left at 3:30."
According to the three-star prospect the Wildcats are in a pretty good position right now.
"Well, I only have three offers so right now they're at the top of the list."
When asked whether that meant Northwestern led along with Vanderbilt and Syracuse or the Wildcats were ahead of the latter two schools Vitabile said he was unsure at this point.
He might know more after an upcoming trip.
"I'm supposed to go to the Vanderbilt cookout on (June) 18," he said. "For now that's all I've got.
"I'm probably gonna decide in late August or early September. The people are gonna be really important for me. The people that are gonna be there is gonna make the difference -- the players, the coaches."
Vitabile is ranked the No. 9 center in the nation by Rivals.com.
