Vista sleeper passes eye test

One of the best programs in San Diego County over the Years has been Vista, Calif. This season Vista could have five to six players make it to the level for their football playing talents. One of them is a sleeper who is beginning to make a name for himself.
The player to keep your eye on is cornerback/slotback Michael Wright (5-10, 165, 4.6).

Not much is known about Wright at this time because he didn’t start as a junior but he did play in the nickel package and played some running back in 2003.
San Diego State seems to be ahead of the learning curve and is showing Wright interest.
“Michael was actually invited by San Diego State to attend their skills camps,” Vista coach Dan Williams said. “He’s kind of a sleeper who we are expecting a big senior season out of.”
There isn’t a lot of tape on Wright so he needs to live up to Williams’ high expectations and have a stellar season this fall. According to Williams there is interest some in him.
“All the colleges that came by this spring, liked what they saw in Michael,” Williams said. “He passes the eye test. Now they want to see what he does this fall.”
