Havelock, N.C. defensive lineman Malcolm Ashley continues to hold one scholarship. The 6-foot-4, 245-pounder discussed the latest as visits are starting to pick up.
"I have one offer from East Carolina, that's the only one right now," he said. "I think East Carolina is a nice school. It's a good school and I have visited for a practice."
To date, Ashley has taken other trips to South Carolina back in the fall and NC State for a junior day.

Meanwhile, Ashley is looking at heading back to Columbia for a trip on April 3rd for practice.
Does the Carolina lineman like any schools?
"I like North Carolina and South Carolina," he said. "It's just I like the surroundings at those places, they seem nice."
Ashley is receiving other interest from Florida, Maryland, NC State, Clemson and Oregon.
On the field, Ashley earned all-area and all-conference honors after registering 50 tackles, four sacks, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
The lineman is a flexible player; does he have a preference on his position?
"East Carolina wants me for offense as a tackle, but I can play any spot, it doesn't matter to me."
