Following a trip to Florida and Florida State recently, Philadelphia (Pa.) Roman Catholic safety Nick Moody landed a scholarship from one of the two schools. Who did the 6-foot-2, 210-pounder pick up an offer from?
"In the past couple days I got an offer from Florida State," he said. "Now I've got three offers along with Temple and Michigan State.
"As for Florida State, they've been my favorite for awhile and now I'm waiting to see what Florida is going to do. I do like the tradition and the fact they win conference and national championship rings. Talking to Bobby Bowden is like talking to a grandparent and the way they develop people is great. The offer definitely puts them in front."
Meanwhile, is anything new with the Gators and the Rivals250 prospect?
"I continue to get text messages from Steve Addazio and a lot of mail. They haven't mentioned anything about an offer. I do really like the coaches there including Urban Meyer. It's also nice that they expect to be in the championship every year and compete like that."
At this time, the Gators and Seminoles are the primary schools Moody is focused on.
