Recruiters are paying attention, though, as
evidenced by a number of impressive scholarship offers to come Capote's way
in recent weeks.
"I've got offers from Boston College, Clemson,
Rutgers, Colorado State, West Virginia and Louisville now," he said. "I've
started to set up my visits, so things are coming along pretty good right
now."
Capote (6-5, 290, 4.9) has set dates for Rutgers
(12/13), Clemson (1/10) and Boston College (1/17). He said Colorado State
would also likely receive a visit, but a date has yet to be scheduled.
"The other one will be close," he said. "It's a real
tough decision between Louisville and West Virginia. I'm also kind of
waiting to see if Miami or Florida does anything. They've stayed in touch,
but I don't have an offer from them yet."
Capote says he's hesitant to name a leader.
"Every time I do that, it ends up changing a week or
two later," he said with a laugh. "So I guess I should just say they're all
contending for the No. 1 spot. It will come down to the place I feel most
comfortable and how I fit into the football team's plans."
