Visits important for Marini

Lake Mary (Fla.) three-star tight end Taylor Marini has racked up eight offers - Florida International, Louisville, Memphis, Minnesota, Rutgers, South Florida, Temple, and UCF. At this stage, he says he isn't able to pick one school out as a favorite.
"Not yet," Marini said when asked if he had a favorite.

For the 6-foot-4, 227-pound tight end, he has to hit the road to figure things out.
"I think I need to take some visits," Marini said. "I think once I get on campus and I meet everyone, that I will just get that feeling. All I know right now is which schools have offered and you see pictures of them online. Now I want to get a feeling of what it would be like to be there.
"When I visit a school I am looking at the facilities, the coaching staff, and whether or not I feel at home or not and can see myself living there whether I play football or not," Marini added. "God forbid something happened where I couldn't play football, but I want to know I am at a place I can see myself going for four years regardless."
Starting next week, Marini will hit the road and check out a variety of schools around the country.
"I am going to Mississippi State on the 11th, Florida State on the 14th, South Carolina on the 15th, and then Duke on the 16th," Marini said. "It is all coming up pretty fast. I will also visit Virginia, Minnesota, Rutgers - that is the 18th - and USF on the 23rd."
The Central Florida prospect is hoping the tour and camp performances will equate to some new offers.
"I am hoping Virginia, South Carolina, and Florida State will offer," Marini said.
As for a decision timeline, Marini intends to make his decision in the next two to three months.
"I want to decide before the fall," Marini said.
