Visits decision coming up for McGirt

It's only been a few weeks since Emanuel McGirt decommitted from North Carolina. Since then the Durham (N.C.) Hillside offensive lineman has been working towards making his final decision, which could come sooner than you think.
"Georgia, N.C. State, LSU, Florida and North Carolina is definitely in are my top five also," said the 6-foot-5, 271-pound McGirt. "It'll definitely be some time in September when I commit."

McGirt felt like he committed too early without really exploring all his options.
"I didn't really take time to think about it," he said. "I'm going to have a well thought out plan this time."
The Georgia Bulldogs recently hosted McGirt for a visit.
"It was great," McGirt said. "I really like the school and the campus. I had a good time at the camp and got to hang out with a couple of the players."
LSU, Florida and N.C. State are very much in the picture.
"I don't remember exactly when I was down at LSU," he said. "We went up there and it was nice. I liked the school, campus and facilities. I want to go back down for a game.
"I've been to N.C. State plenty of times," said McGirt. "I think it's a program on the rise. A lot of people counted them out but the coaches are doing a great job over there. They've been getting some big time recruits.
"I like Florida," he said. "I was trying to go down there with Nyheim Hines but that didn't work out because I couldn't miss practice. I want to go down there I just need to talk to my dad to find a time we can do that."
Hines and McGirt could be a package deal.
"Nyheim and I want to play together in college," McGirt said. "He wants to run behind me and I want to block for him. That's a sure bet."
Taking more visits is the next step for McGirt.
"I know the first game I'm going to is Georgia against Clemson," he said. "I definitely want to take three official visits. I'm not sure where yet but I think Georgia and N.C. State are pretty likely."
McGirt helped Hillside to nine wins last season.
