Visits crucial for Matthews

Royal Palm Beach (Fla.) outside linebacker Teddy Matthews has recently landed a trio of offers. Those offers have him preparing to take some official visits in January to figure out who he will sign with in February.
"I haven't taken any visits yet," Matthews said. "I have one scheduled with Wake Forest and one with UCF, but we haven't exactly set the dates on those yet. I just know those are the ones that I am definitely going to go on.

"I may also visit FAU," Matthews added.
The Deacons, Knights, and Owls are his three options at this point, but he is wide open to other schools if they come forth with an offer.
"Those are just the three right now, but that may change if other schools get involved," Matthews said.
At this stage, Matthews says that Central Florida and Wake Forest are his top two. He knows some minor details about each school.
"I know that Wake Forest has a smaller class setting and obviously that they are in the ACC," Matthews said. "I know UCF is moving to the Big East and some basic stuff about them."
The 6-foot-3, 210-pound defender doesn't claim a leader between the pair.
"They are pretty even right now, until I take my visits I wouldn't say I have a leader," Matthews said. "My visits will really help me with my decision."
