Visits crucial for Kaleopaa

LA MIRADA, Calif. - Koa Kaleopaa and his La Mirada team handled business Friday night in its 55-28 victory against Santa Fe Springs (Calif.) St. Paul and the three-star linebacker was pleased with his team's performance.
"I'm pretty happy," Kaleopaa said. "We wanted St. Paul bad. We lost to them two years in a row so we came out and played well."

Recruiting is of intrigue to Kaleopaa since the 6-foot-3, 250-pound recruit is still uncommitted and only starting to look at official visits.
Those upcoming trips - some during the season, maybe some after - are going to be important to Kaleopaa, who's planning to tour the country and see many different conferences to find the best fit for him.
"I'm kind of looking at visits possibly to Arkansas, maybe drive up to Cal, looking at Ole Miss and Colorado might be after the season," Kaleopaa said. "UCLA is also a consideration or maybe Hawaii because there are a lot of schools involved.
"I'm still confused. After I take some officials then I'll probably know but until then I don't know right now."
Kaleopaa said most of his visits will be during the season but he has not scheduled any trips yet.
Going to Arkansas could happen for the Alabama game in mid-September. Colorado's staff definitely would like him to visit after his season.
"Most of them will be during the season," Kaleopaa said. "Colorado said definitely after the season because they don't want to get in the way of our football.
"A decision will probably be later after I take official visits. Arkansas for Alabama, Colorado around Christmas is what I'm thinking."
