Visits coming up for Kozan

Alex Kozan has his first official visit set to Iowa for next weekend and he's also trying to set one up with LSU soon as the Castle Rock (Colo.) Valor Christian offensive tackle continues through the recruiting process.
Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Oregon, Oklahoma State and LSU are the final seven for Kozan, a 6-foot-4, 295-pound four-star prospect who said he's still taking things slow but would prefer to have his commitment over with by the start of playoffs in early November or by Christmas at the latest.

"I'm still looking and trying to find the best place for me," Kozan said. "I'm taking it kind of slow right now but I'm just taking my time with it so I can make the best decision."
With seven programs remaining on his list, Kozan won't be able to take official visits to all those places and he might not even take all five. The four-star prospect said he could find the perfect fit at Iowa or LSU but he doesn't plan to take more than three trips.
During the off-season, Kozan had taken numerous unofficial visits to a bunch of schools so he's already familiar with many of the campuses. The main reason to return, other than to see the game-day atmosphere, is to meet with some coaches that weren't there the first time.
"I'm only going to use officials to see things that I didn't see before," Kozan said. "A lot of schools when I visited before they didn't have their coaching staffs there so I'd like to meet a lot of their coaches.
"As far as taking all five I don't know yet. I might take my first one and that could be the place. It might be the second one. You never know. Really for me it's a process but I'll probably take three. I don't know if I'll have time to take all five."
Rivals.com rates Kozan No. 28 at offensive tackle and No. 244 in the 2012 class along with being fifth in the Colorado state rankings.
