Sheriron Jones is working on his upcoming visit schedule and a trip to Florida could be in the works, an important trip for the four-star quarterback from Moreno Valley (Calif.) Rancho Verde.
Jones has not finalized any trips - and he could take plenty of them over the summer - but a probable jaunt to Gainesville is definitely important as the Gators continue to diligently recruit the four-star standout.
"I'm just thinking about where I should go over these next few weeks," Jones said. "My coach and I have been going over it a lot and I'm looking to make a few trips. I'm not sure where I'm going to go but it's out of the teams that have offered me.
"Most likely it's going to be possible to get to Florida. I'm just making the time for it within these next few weeks."
Florida has emerged as a possible destination for Jones, rated as the No. 10 dual-threat quarterback in the 2015 class by Rivals.com. The Gators are pushing for a commitment so Jones seeing the campus and meeting more with the coaches and players could be crucial to his decision.
"Just going out there and seeing it and trying to get comfortable with it and their coaches and players that's going to be really important," Jones said. "That's going to be a big impact. I want to see how it is and how it's going to be if I go there and how the love is and everything.
"I'm probably going to do multiple trips. I've already been to ASU and Colorado so next up on the list is everybody else who has offered me, the other seven teams."
So far, the Rancho Verde standout has been offered by Akron, Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, Florida, Indiana, Maryland, Nebraska and Tennessee.
Oregon, Texas A&M and Auburn are showing more interest as four-star Kyler Murray plans to make his commitment within days. If those schools lose out on Murray, then Jones could be next in line for an offer.
"The teams that are waiting on him, I guess I'm their next guy so we'll see what happens from there," Jones said.
