THE LATEST: Cameron Rising had a huge sophomore season and especially in recent weeks the 2018 four-star quarterback has seen his recruitment take off with offers from across the country.

The Newbury Park, Calif., standout is now starting to work on an offseason visit schedule and Rising said he’s looking to visit LSU, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Houston and TCU so far.

Those trips make sense geographically and more could be coming soon. Rising has offers from everywhere and he’s just getting started with the recruiting process.

In total, Rising lists offers from Alabama, Arizona, Arizona State, Cal, Fresno State, Houston, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Nebraska, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Oregon State, Penn State, San Diego State, TCU and Washington State.

In his sophomore season, Rising threw for 40 touchdowns and only one interception.

RIVALS’ REACTION: Rising is in the early stages of his recruitment.

The 2018 four-star said UCLA and Oregon have been showing the most interest so more offers could be on the way and a bunch of Pac-12 schools could be getting in the mix soon.

This summer could open his eyes a lot. Rising is expected to take a tour of some schools so he’ll be able to gauge what he likes, and what he doesn’t, across the country. Plus, more trips could be scheduled.

A bunch of major offers have already arrived but Rising is not going to rush. He could book trips to other schools, more offers seem to be coming in all the time and his junior season has not even started yet.

After this round of offseason visits, some schools might emerge as favorites but it would be surprising to see a commitment anytime soon.
