Visits coming for Scarlett

Cameron Scarlett has received spotty new interest but things have picked up so quickly the four-star running back is still happy with how his recruitment is going.
So far, the Portland (Ore.) Central Catholic standout who rushed for 1,640 yards and 22 touchdowns in his junior season has been offered by Arizona State, BYU, Oregon, Oregon State, Stanford and Washington State.

Stanford and Oregon were two of the latest offers for Scarlett, who said he's planning to visit Stanford in the coming weeks. A trip to Oregon during track season is also planned.
"I've just been talking to Stanford a little more in-depth and I'm going to try to get to their junior day in April," Scarlett said.
"I've talked to Washington a little more and I was supposed to talk with coach (Chris) Petersen. Arizona and Cal are talking to me, UCLA added me on social media and a little bit from USC as well."
The top-rated prospect in the Oregon state rankings by Rivals.com has already been to Stanford a couple times but with the offer he's going to take a more serious look.
"I've been there before," Scarlett said. "I went to the camp last summer and I was there another time when my brother was getting recruited by them.
"Their junior day is a lot different. They were telling me they only have like 9-10 kids so it's going to be important for me to get down there. Hopefully I can. It's too early (to name favorites). I don't have an idea. They're such a good program academically and athletically it just draws my attention more."
Oregon is also expected to get a visit soon from Scarlett, rated as the sixth-best all-purpose back in the 2015 class. Since the Ducks offered, the Portland Central Catholic standout said getting to know the program better has been a priority.
"I'm going to take a serious look at Oregon, too," Scarlett said. "I'm going to head down there sometime soon. I have track meets down there so I'll use that as a track meet and go to see the coaches."
