Visits are picking up for LB Parson

With one offer in the bag, linebacker Darius Parson is waiting patiently to see what else will come. The 6-foot-2, 230-pounder plans to head out on a few trips over the next month including a first trip to his scholarship.
"I got back from Virginia Tech and I haven't heard back from them," he said. "I think the camp went alright. Obviously they haven't contacted me back, but I think I did ok.

"The coaches told me they were going to let me know, but they had just gotten a linebacker and they didn't know how many spots they had left."
Parson followed up his trip to Tech with a camp at James Madison.
"I went to JMU camp and it went well," he said. "They want me as a defensive end. They haven't offered yet, but they were saying they were going to offer."
A few more visits are coming including camp potentially at Tennessee on July 18th.
In August, Parson plans to take a couple trips.
"I'm planning on visiting NC State between August 6th and the 12th when I visit my mom," he said. "I've talked to Coach Willis about a month ago when he came by the school and he seems to like me.
"I'm also planning to head to Syracuse at the end of August. It will definitely be at the end of the summer, the last weekend of August."
That trip to Syracuse, his lone offer will be his first to the school.
"I'm excited just to see a great place," he said. "I don't know too much about it, but I want to see how and if it fits me."
