Visits ahead for Dillon

Franklinton (La.) Pine three-star wide receiver Derrick Dillon is known for his speed and quickness, and he has been a versatile weapon on offense and defense at Pine.
His versatility combined with his athletic gifts has made him a hot target for college coaches who make their way to Louisiana in search of the top athletes across the Southeast, and he has put together an impressive list of early scholarship offers.

Arizona State, Colorado, Florida, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Texas, UCLA, and Utah have all extended offers and in the spring he was able to take a few visits.
As he approaches summer, he has a few other plans with Texas A&M and Florida visits in the works.
"He's pretty sure he's going to make it," Pine head coach Brad Seal said. "You can't be too sure until he gets there, but I'm pretty sure he's going to make it. Maybe to an A&M camp June 15. I'm not too sure about Florida yet."
Visits to Texas and Florida State could also make the schedule.
"He may make a stop by those two places," Seal said.
Dillon has not official trimmed his list, and has maintained an open mind in regards to the recruiting process. However, there is some thought a few schools are separating from the pack and standing out at this point.
"I would say A&M, Florida, Florida State, and Texas," Seal said. "And I think Oklahoma really interests him. He hasn't been there but I think they really interest him. I wouldn't be able to tell you here's the 1, 2, 3, but I think that group of four and then Oklahoma."
Dillon, who is currently ranked No. 14 in the Rivals.com Louisiana Preseason Top 50 , was able to take visits to Mississippi State, LSU, Texas, Texas A&M, Florida, and Florida State in the spring. He is currently ranked No. 45 among the nation's wide receivers for the 2014 recruiting class.
