Visit schedule on hold for Wells

Bellview, Fla. safety Cody Wells has moved around his visit schedule, but his favorite remains the same.

"I was supposed to have gone to South Carolina already but the weather last week there was bad and they didn't really have anyone coming in," said the 6-foot-0, 180-pounder. "I'm going to take the visit in January now and if I like it, I might commit. They're my top choice right now because I think I could play right away."

Wells thinks his official visit will be on Jan. 17 but he hasn't firmed up a date yet. He has South Florida on Jan. 3, Florida State on Jan. 10 and is thinking about Florida and Central Florida as well.

"Florida State is a great school and they're right up there as well, but I want to play and play early," he said. "I can't stand sitting around and watching which is why I want to make sure I can compete right away someplace. Even if I don't become a starter, USC said I could play on special teams and return kicks."

Wells said he'll decide in late January.
