Visarraga feels closer to Pac-12 offer

It has been Jordan Visarraga's dream to play football at Washington and the Eugene (Ore.) Willamette running back feels he could be getting closer to an offer from the Huskies.
The 5-foot-10, 178-pound prospect said he's had numerous conversations with Washington offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier and the Huskies are waiting on one other running back to make his decision until there is room for Visarraga in the 2012 class.

That running back is almost certainly four-star Byron Marshall, from San Jose (Calif.) Valley Christian, and since it's less likely that he heads to Washington Visarraga is feeling good about his chances.
If the offer comes, Visarraga said, there will be no doubt he'd commit.
"Coach Nussmeier and I have been talking and they could pull the trigger pretty soon," Visarraga said. "That's what we've been talking about. That's the one I've been waiting for. He and I have been talking about it pretty intensely every day and in the near future it could be real.
"It makes everything that much more special. Sometimes it's hard to believe that it's happening. Before it didn't even feel possible and now it feels like my dream is coming true."
Visarraga is certainly proving early in his senior season that he's worthy of Pac-12 consideration.
He rushed for 289 yards and four touchdowns on 21 carries in Willamette's season opener and then had 194 yards and four scores on 18 touches last weekend.
Other schools like Cal, Oregon State, Washington State, Army and Portland State are being considered but Visarraga said if Washington offers his recruitment is pretty much finished.
"I've been checking out other schools," he said. "I checked out Cal and I checked out Oregon State and Washington State but honestly Washington is my main focus.
"If not, I have other options, I've been talking to other coaches but Washington is the focus."
