The Skinny: Macklin’s star is on a definite rise. “Chad gets a stack of mail everyday,” Golden West head coach Ron Starr said. “You name a school and Chad is hearing from them.”
Macklin is a player whose best days on the gridiron are definitely ahead of him. He has that tall lean frame that the D-I schools like. D-I schools also like his quickness and intelligence. He’s a raw player who has D-I schools chomping at the bit to get a chance at refining his skills. Getting him into a collegiate weight-training program will help get him stronger and heavier. His lean frame will allow for weight gain without losing any quickness. His long arms are also advantageous for offensive line success.
“Chad has qualities that you can’t teach,” Starr said. “He’s the complete package of size, quickness, frame and intelligence.”
Macklin has unlimited potential and has the work habits to fulfill his promise as a football player.
