Position: Quarterback
Size and speed: Glennon is 6-foot-4, 190 pounds. He has been timed in the 40-yard dash at 4.75 seconds. He bench presses 265 pounds and squats 320 pounds.
Honors: All-state, all-region, all-district Player of the Year
Statistics: Glennon passed for 1,800 yards including 21 touchdowns and only three interceptions.
Favorite schools: Virginia Tech, Virginia, Clemson, Maryland, North Carolina, NC State, Wake Forest.
Skinny: Glennon could very well be the top signal-caller in the state of Virginia this year. He rarely makes a mistake on the football field and it won’t be long until the offers start pouring in.
“Sean is an extremely accurate passer and he reads defenses very well,” says head coach Tom Verbanic. “He completed over 65-percent of his passes last season and he has a very strong arm.”
Glennon knows what he does best on the football field.
“I am a pure drop back passer,” he said. “I am always looking to throw. I am definitely not an option-type quarterback.”
Glennon does not have any offers or a favorite at this time, but he knows what he is looking for in a school.
“The coaches are real important. Just getting a good feeling about the school as well as early playing time will be a factor. I want to play for a good offensive system too; I like a wide-open offense. Academics are important also, and I want to play reasonably close to home as well.”
Glennon plans to attend the Nike camp at Virginia Tech as well as summer camps at Penn State and in Blacksburg with the Hokies. Glennon carries a 3.8 GPA at this time.
